Translation:

[To·· ? ··of senatorial] status, deputy for the praetorian prefects in the African provinces; the city council of Lepcis Magna and the people, in order that the memory of his unexampled benefactions should be transmitted also to our descendants, decided that, in addition to (giving him) a token of guest-friendship, a marble statue should also be set up so that, having been saved by the moderation of his judgments, and [?being in debt] to him and in many troubles [·· ? ··]
