Translation:
to [·· ? ··] Avitius Rufus, son of Quintus, of the Roman voting tribe Quirina, military tribune in Legion VII Gemina Felix, [prefect] of cohort I Augusta of Thracians, approaching his third military appointment, duovir; honoured by decree of the city council, on account of his outstanding merits in public affairs; [Quintus] Auitius Lucanus, his father, was satisfied with the decree and the honour and set (this) up at his own expense.
